Would anyone have any recommendations for a picture/print to go above this Kilim bench in our hallway? It’s hard to know what to go for as the bench already has a lot going on. Thanks

I think you need three big framed prints, to match the panels at the bottom x

I might be tempted to hang a mirror there, in an antique-bronze frame, or a wood frame in a colour to match the wainscoting.
A modern-look print wouldn't go with the Kilim style, and anything traditional would be too busy.

If it’s hall, maybe go for chalkboard or notice board for family admin?

If there’s no art you love and want to put there the. How about a framed map of the world? We use ours quite a lot in a ‘Where exactly is Chad?’ type way.

As opposed to ‘where’s wally?’ 😀😀

on the ordnance survey website, you can order a custom-printed map centred on your home so that you can see all the walking routes from where you live.

I would go for a completely eclectic mix of pictures and prints that you love which have some of the colours of the bench in them. I lean in to the eclectic art and colours look.

From this photo, my feeling is the bench is too small. I'd move it to the foot of a bed or a different room.
Art: maps, mirrors, family photos a mix of things that have meaning to you. Not standard framed prints.

It would annoy me that the bench doesn't line up with the panels. I don't think the bench really 'goes' with the style of the space especially well. You could reupholster in a plain fabric which would then mean you could have whatever prints, or groupings you like on the walls.

Or if you keep the bench as it is then perhaps a large clock or mirror on the wall. I'd avoid lots of small frames grouped as it may look to busy with the print and panels.

ChatGPT will be able to mock up a few different ideas so you can see what they look like.

I'd go for an old-fashioned 18th-century style painting of a horse with either a plain dark green or distressed gilt frame.

Thise prints would be lovely. You need to draw from the rich heritage of eastern, Islamic and Arabic art styles to compliment the kelim. I’d put a large empty basket (tall) next to the kelim bench. Line the bench up between the panels and pictures.

If you want more inspiration look on the V & A website or the Alhambra Granada for inspiration.
