Are there any genuinely comfortable sofa beds for occasional guests?

Hi! Is there such a thing as a comfortable sofa bed?
I'd like to transform our spare room into a room for the children, as we only have visitors for around 6 weeks a year. But one of our visitors is elderly and stays for around two weeks, so I need to make sure the room is comfortable too. Have sofa beds evolved since I last slept on (a very uncomfortable) one around 20 years ago?

Koala is the comfiest bed, even by normal bed standards. I love ours.

I've got one from DFS, and it's pretty great as a bed, I don't rate it as a sofa though, it's too firm.

My parents have a sofa bed that they put a memory foam mattress on when people come to stay.

DFS - upgrade to the memory foam mattress - it’s well worth it. I find the sofa very comfy too

The muji fold out foam ones.
Used it to Airbnb a spare room for a while and people liked the bed.

Have you considered a Murphy bed? Also called wallbeds or study bed. The kind that that fold down from the wall?

Has a full mattress that doesn't have to be folded up and takes up less room that a sofa bed. Bed can be left made up and you just pull it down. So wish I'd put one in my spare room years ago.
