Paint colour ideas for downstairs toilet? Help!

Hi. I really need some help with choosing a colour(s) to paint the walls in my downstairs toilet. I have tiles on half the wall on two sides, which are grey/white/black. The walls are currently a generic magnolia. It’s not a tiny room, but it’s fairly small. The floor is karndean, wood effect. I would love a bright ish colour but I just don’t know what will go well with the tiles. I love purples and blues. I’ve added a photo of the tiles.

If you love purple and blue, go to a DIY store, view the shade cards and pick the one that makes you feel happiest.

Don't overthink this - it's only paint, it's only a downstairs loo - you can just choose and change it if you don't like it.

Using Dola Ai app you can look at colours before you choose. Here's a few

What about black then put some nice graphic pictures on the wall.

If it's a small room I'd go lighter shades than dark. Do you need new towels for there? If not, choose from the towels you have that you like and go from there. Or look at new towels you could buy for inspiration. A light shade of caramel would look classy.

Love dark shades in small downstairs loo. In our old house we had rectory red (dark red); in this house we have a very very dark blue (almost black) though the tiles are beige so there is some light. It's a small space have fun! Do what strikes your fancy; it's easy enough to paint over if you don't like it.

I find a good way to choose colours is to tryout things already in your house.

So say you’ve a cushion, throw or towel in a possible colour way - put it in the room and notice your reaction over the next couple of days when you are in and out of the room. I usually find this helps me, it certainly shows me what I don’t like and narrows the choice.

You will probably own things already in colours that you feel comfortable with.

The dark blue in the pic above looks great with your tiles. Maybe just one wall?

I think there are only two options : black or white. White to lighten it, black to be dramatic and make it a statement loo, but depends if your into that. I would be tempted to wallpaper and get a clashing print for full dramatic effect.

Black or very dark grey like Railings, with a large mirror to add some relief.
I dont think bright colour looks great against those tiles.

Yes, I’d do Railings.
