How to style a grey-sofa, brown-carpet, grey/sage-walls living room - help!

Really looking for some style help with colours for my living room. It’s looking a bit flat and still caught up the grey era! As above the carpet is a light brown colour and the sofas aregrey. The walls are pale grey and the fireplace is sage green.

I can buy new cushions, accessories etc but can’t change the carpet or sofa and I think this is where the colour clash/problem occurs.

can you help with colours or ideas please? 🙏🏻

Change the wall colour and lean into the green and brown for soft furnishings

Your sage and grey work together. Your sage and brown work together. But grey and brown aren’t going to gel.

I would try and cover up as much carpet as possible. I’d probably add more sage (can you paint some walls?) as this could bring warmth.

Some photos that show brown floors with grey and green elements. Or brown accents with furniture.

Put a photo of your room into ChatGPT and ask it for suggestions with your existing sofa and carpet, then ask it to show you a mock up of the suggestions do you have a visual. I have used it for ideas and to visualise my room differently - really helps.

Thank you all.
The problem is definitely the brown grey combo, but maybe some extra neutral tones might help it feel more
cohesive.
i could try AI thanks

I'd add an accent colour in cushions and accessories. Mustard/ochre would work well. That way the grey and brown will fade into the background and your room will seem to be sage and mustard iyswim. Doesn't have to be mustard, but it does complement all three of your colours well.
Also try to pick up small amounts of the sage in your accessories if you can, so that the walls are not the only sage bit!

Buy a sofa cover and paint the walls?
With a brown carpet and sage green walls you could go for another shade of taupe/ brown for the sofa or a neutral cream or another shade of green or a dusky pink.

Paint and a sofa cover is going to be the cheapest way to bring it all together.

I’d add a patterned colourful very large rug and pictures on the walls
