Kitchen splashback

We’re in the process of having our kitchen updated - from the 90s one we inherited 😁 - and have gone for pale cream units and a bright, light green on the walls (Little Green’s Green Verditer).

Weve now got to decide on a splashback and luckily the company has a cream and a light green that are practically the same shade as the cupboards and paint we’ve chosen.

BUT do we go for the light green, to break up the cream of the floor and wall cupboards on one wall, or do we go for the cream, which looks amazing on the other wall, which just has floor cupboards??

Has anyone had this choice and been pleased with/regretted their choice?

Are you talking tiles? If it was me - neither. I do like the extending the worktop up the wall look, which is very practical but may be costly. Tiles are back in fashion though, but I’d use a contrast. I used black and white Spanish matt patterned tiles when I redid my kitchen (white wall units, black base units) and also on the front of the breakfast bar (imagine a U shaped kitchen with one side against the wall, the other facing out).
But if it’s between the green or cream, I’d use the green.

Thanks Monday! We’re going for glass splashbacks- I haven’t had good experiences with tiled ones.

I'd prefer a contrast too @canihaveonesomeroses. At our last house we had F&B Oval Room Blue base cabinets and Craig & Rose Pale Oak wall cabinets (just a plate rack, one double cupboard and a custom cooker hood). We wallpapered the area behind the bright red Bertazzoni range cooker and sink using paper that included all three colours, and put tempered glass over this.

I think I would go with the green.
A glass splashback in Green Verditer would be gorgeous.
