Trying to find a really sunny sky blue colour for bathroom.

Hi,

I wondered if I could possibly ask for help from the experts here on how to choose a nice sky blue paint colour for my bathroom?

I really like long baths with the nice sunny sky blue colour on the wall, but the bathroom was painted years ago and needs repainted.

I've tried lots of tester pots but I just can't get one right and the apps don't seem to work.

I tried painting half of the room in Dulux Blissful blue to try to get rid of all the mess of tester squares that I'd painted, but it just doesn't look as cheery and sunny and uplifting as I would like it to be, because the colour is a tiny bit pink or lilac, and the old colour was more yellowy.

I wondered if it would be okay to show you photographs and ask if anyone can think of what colour I could use?

The whole of the rest of the house is Little Greene Paint Company Old Paper II, but I've tried all the Little Greene Paint Company blues, and they weren't right either.

This is Dulux Blissful Blue:

I would be really grateful if anyone could think of a colour that is not too intense, I mean about the same intensity as Blissful Blue, but more yellow and less pink.

I'm looking for something pretty much like the sunnier colour in the photos that I've attached below.

Thank you very much for your help. :-)

The room is about 10 feet by 8 feet, with a compact fluorescent lightbulb in the ceiling fitting and the window faces south.

I can't change to LEDs because they give me headaches, but a lampshade might be an option possibly.

I just realised that maybe the thing to do is to go to B&Q and get a tester card of blissful blue and then walk round and comare it directly to all the other blues? Maybe that would get me a calibrated indicator of how the other blues relate to mine?

Following with interest as I would like to paint our hall a nice uplifting blue that isn’t too bright, but not grey.

We had a lovely sky blue in my DS room at our old house when he was a baby, we had it on the walls and ceiling - it would have been dulux but I can’t remember what shade sadly.

Mylands do a couple of pretty blue shades, I’ve used Swedish Blue in my kitchen previously which was lovely or have a look at Valspar colours from B&Q good luck.

We've got F&B Borrowed Light in one of our bathrooms, but I don't know how it compares with Blissful Blue.

little greene do a China blue that’s really pretty too.

Lulworth blue by farrow and ball really reminds me of blue skies.
