What do you put in vases when you don’t want fresh flowers?

Silly question perhaps, but what do people actually put in vases when they can’t be bothered buying fresh flowers all the time?

Hey everyone, just wanted to come back to this because I tried something after reading all your suggestions 😊

I ended up keeping it really simple and added a vase with dried lavender on the table nothing too big, just enough to soften the space a bit. It actually made the whole room feel a lot more “put together” without adding clutter.

What I liked is that it doesn’t need any upkeep and still looks the same every day which is a win because I was getting tired of replacing fresh flowers all the time 😅

Now I’m wondering… would you keep it minimal like this, or add something else?

When I don’t have fresh flowers or pussy willow I fill them with the eyeballs of my enemies.

That’s very minimalist. I would take out a little of the lavender to make it a bit looser and put in a few wisps of something green that dries well and isn’t quite so stiff. Your leftover lavender can go into a smaller vase in another corner.

Animal teeth found in various field drains etc.

I appreciate that’s a bit niche. But I loathe cut flowers. Just dead things waiting to be a chore.
