Kitchen Worktop colour

im about to get a kitchen and like the look of a grey door with a white worktop. However I am having doubts about how clean a white worktop will stay or will it show up marks.
wondering what other colour of worktop would work well with a light grey door.
any suggestions would be appreciated

I have light grey doors on the bottom units and white doors on the floor to ceiling units. I chose a black quartz worktop with sparkles.

My last kitchen was grey gloss with white quartz marbled with grey. Moved house and we had a new kitchen fitted I have blue units and white terrazzo style quartz.
White looks great and is fine if wiped regularly. Bar Keeper’s friend removes any stains. My last worktop stained easily but my new one doesn’t.

Grey is very dated nowdays. Do it if you love it but I would rethink if you might need to sell in the next 5 years.
