Hi I have blinds that are starting to get mold spots on them, due to condensation forming on the window, I regularly keep our bedroom windows wiped down & the rooms aired during the day. Is there anything that can be used to remove this on these type of blinds without ruining them? ... I dont want to go buying another set of blinds if these can be cleaned up. Thank you. I rented a flat a few years ago which had that type of blinds in a bathroom with no extractor fan. They had spots of white mould on but I managed to sort them pretty well by taking them down, laying them in the bath and spraying them with Cillit Bang Black Mould Remover.

I haven't used it on blinds but I also really rate the Mould Magic gel that you can buy from Must Have Ideas. That's amazing on sealant and grout in bathrooms and in washing machine seals. I don't think any material isn't suitable so you could patch test that too?

If the material is porous, it's not possible to clean it properly of mould. Best to throw it away and start again, and make sure to figure out why it was growing there and fix the conditions. Is it an area with high humidity?

Are you in the US, hence spelling it mold?
If not and in the UK, I've bought HG mould spray from B&Q before. You'd need to try on an inconspicuous area before doing the lot. I'd follow the instructions, then put a towel underneath and have a bucket, sponge and gloves and clean off each blind panel. Hopefully it cleans it off.

I would take them down and put them in the bath with some biological washing powder.
