I’m thinking of booking a F&B consultation as I’m hopeless with colours and seem to spend a fortune changing my mind about colours.
Has anyone used the home visit service and was it worthwhile?

Yes I did. Obviously it’s not cheap, but the person I had got through a lot of rooms in the available time and was really helpful, and then also sent me a written recommendation that included calculations of how much paint to buy etc. I found it worth it and would do it again if I could afford it!

I’ve used it and found it really helpful. The consultant narrowed down choices quickly and sent follow-up notes with paint quantities, which made buying much easier. Definitely saved me from going in circles!

Have you considered an independent designer who would probably be a similar price, but would cover all different brands.

No I hadn’t as I don’t know anyone.
I love F &B colours so want to use them as my starting point.

I recently used an independent designer and it was absolutely fabulous. She advised on our whole downstairs and we followed her advice to the letter. The colours range from F&B, Little Greene, Coat and a few others I can't remember. I find F&B alone too limiting, especially for the earthy and neutral colours. I couldn't be more delighted with the result, and she came up with ideas that I wouldn't have thought of, and was much braver than I would have been!

I think the F&B is around £200 for a home visit and discounted paint.

Do you have a shop near you? I went in with photos and someone stood with me for ages, bringing out swatches and recommendations. Didn’t cost a thing.
