I saw this in YouTube, but no commentary. I would like to see a video with instructions etc.

Looks like a cluster v stitch

Allseeingallknowing · 08/02/2026 22:37

It does look very similar but the one I showed is not the same on the back as the front, and it’s more bobbly. If you look at the video on YouTube it’s formed in a different way.

Can you post a link to the video?

I think it's puff v stitch, but not sure as you can't see the actual method from a photo/screenshot.

Front loop extended double crochet (would be FL extended treble crochet using English terminology).

Do you use Facebook?

I don't. But friends regularly send reels. Then I end up watching far too many reels afterwards 🙇🏻‍♀️. It is FULL of reels about this stitch!

Thanks - it is a lovely stitch. I will use it one day- when I’ve mastered the simple ones!

You can get a similar effect with a granny stitch Jacob’s ladder.

Have you got a video link to that- is it easier?

It’s the same as normal Jacob’s ladder but 2 sets treble clusters with a couple of slip stitches in between. Looks like 2 chains, 2 trebles, a couple of slip stitches, 2 trebles and 2 chains to join It back instead of just chains. there’s lots for normal Jacob’s ladder on yt, can’t find a cluster one. The other ones probably easier though
