Hi all, I'm moving into a 3 bed with my 3 children all aged 8-13. .I want the children to have their own rooms so I am going to sleep in the living room.
I want something that will convert into a double bed, although I'm single I have a double bed now and would rather not sleep on a single if I can help it.
I've seen the Hermes daybed that looks good but so do some of the ikea sofabeds.
I have a budget of around £500, I will get a really decent topper but essentially I need something comfortable enough to sleep on everyday and won't look weird in the living room.
Suggestions welcome
Thanks

Don’t go for Hemnes. It doesn’t make a good double and the ends will make it less comfortable as both a bed and a sofa.

I don’t rate Ikea for sofas generally tbh. I’d look for something second hand with a proper robust mechanism at that sort of budget. Or have a look at a showroom outlet place that gets end of line/last season stuff from the major companies. More likely to get a bargain that way and your £500 will go further.

DFS do good sofa beds. You might get a nice one in the Sale

We have the Ikea Grunnarp and I really like it, has space to store bedding when not in use as well. Much easier fold out than many other sofa beds.
