Something other than paint

My son is in the box room so his bed is against the wall. His paint always seems to chip off or the colour from bedding stains walls. Within months it looks like a horrible dirty mess. So we are considering something else. Has anyone got acoustic panelling or any other solution.

it needs to properly stripped, and then good quality paint applied

I agree. That shouldn't be happening if the walls have been prepped properly. Wallpaper might be a good option?

I would avoid panelling unless you are in a very new house as it will not let moisture move through the building and could cause damp issues.
