New front door

I’m fancying a new door and not sure where to start . Did you look local or are there any decent national websites? Did you fit it yourself or get someone else in to do it?

i always do local independent for this kind of thing

not for any earnest “support local” reason but because usually get much better service and better price

Agree with PP we used a local builder who had a catalogue from his supplier. There are so many different styles and colours to choose from now.

Look at Solidor doors see if they fit in your area. Very good doors.

I used a local wood working firm who custom built it as my door frame is non standard. Cost about £2500 by the time you’d factored in door handle and rebuilding the frame. Very solid door though!

We used a local company that’s been established for 40 years and make their own windows and doors on the same site even saw inside the factory. We did our research and I knew a couple of friends that had used the same company so I had honest reviews on them before we decided to go with them.
