Quartz Worktop Advice

I really love quartz worktops and splashback and am at the point of purchasing this but have read a few things about potential heat damage caused by gas hobs to the splashback leading to scorching. Does anyone have experience of this? Just wondering whether Quartz is durable enough or just too much high maintenance for a busy kitchen?

Even with a quartz upstand it’s often not in the splashback area though I know you can have it. Just had a new kitchen. Got beautiful quartz worktops and upstands but my splashback and where you would often have tiles is all glass.
I’ve got an Induction hob though.

I love the glass and was able to choose a bespoke colour. Easy to clean and buffs up beautifully with an ecloth.

We’ve had ours fitted yesterday, gas hob with quartz from worktop to up to cupboards. No one has mentioned anything to suggest this wouldn’t be a normal thing to do! They look absolutely beautiful x

Yes we have this above the hob too. Looks great after two years, no damage anywhere.

I have quartz and love it. Use the spray version of Bar Keepers Friend to clean it

Thank you all and Reassuring as I've seen some horrible scorch marks on some photos when doing research but probably this is the exception to the norm.
