How to stop a rug from sliding about?

I’ve just bought my first small, vintage rug.

I’m delighted with it but need to do something to fix it in place/ stop it slipping about - it’s currently like a skate board!

Does anyone have any specific products to recommend, please?

You can get rug gripper from Amazon. I know as we just bought a new rug and the person we bought it from suggested it if we needed it. We haven’t so far.

I don't have links, or even the right words (jet lag) but there's a product for this. It's like a thin, slightly rubbery under mat.

They come in different sizes. If it's too large you can cut it or fold the edges in.

This didn't seem promising when I opened the bag but it works perfectly to stop my rug slipping on the glossy laminate floor - you just use scissors to cut it to the size you need.
