What colour frame?

DD’s graduation photo has a rather dull grey background - I’m sure it’s what we used have in our school photos in the 70s! Combined with the black mortar board & gown there’s not much colour - just a bit of her gorgeous light turquoise dress. I can’t decide what colour frame to use to lift the whole thing, and whether to add a mount - I’ve tried it against white & cream mounts but they just don’t look right. I’m usually pretty good at colour but I’m stuck with this one - any suggestions please?

I think maroon mount with a grey/silver frame? Or try a mid blue (dark turquoise?) and grey/silver frame. Depends where you are going to display it too.

@OhDear111 having a blue mount & a neutral frame is a good idea. I don’t really want a blue frame but hadn’t thought about it for the mount, thank you.
