Rug!!!

I’ve moved the furniture around my room and need a decent sized rug. But what size? And what type? I’ve attached some pics of my room as it is so far and some rugs I’m exploring

I would say wide enough so the feet of the green sofa sit on top of the rug and then whatever length works for that width

Figure out the size with sheets of newspaper. Lay them on the floor in position and measure once you’ve got something that looks right.

Good advice from both above about size.
Re type, why not go a bit bolder colour wise?

I've just recently bought a similar, William Morris style but not actually an authentic WM design, washable runner from Amazon which I'm fairly sure comes in full room sizes too. And it's a stunner! It was very cheap good value and I can vouch for it being lovely. Thin because washable so you'd need a nonslip backing to keep it in place but my goodness I love it! 💚 Here's some pics of it and I'll dig out the link in a mo.
