Sofa recommendations with washable covers

Hi all! Moving into a rental for a few years until hopefully able to buy so I'm not looking to spend a fortune on a sofa incase it doesn't fit/suit when I eventually buy a house. So I'm probably looking at around about £850 or below. Ideally I'd love a cream or light beige colour and I don't personally like leather but also have a toddler so I'm thinking a sofa with covers I can put in the washing machine would be a good idea. Budget is really tight and so is space so ideally looking a 3 seater l shape to use the layout we have in the best way and I don't want it to be too hard for sitting on so it's comfortable.

If anyone has seen such a unicorn (or has other suggestions or ideas) I'd really appreciate it!

Lots of Ikea sofas have washable covers and are reasonably priced.

Look at IKEA! We have a corner sofa bed from there (HOLMSUND I think) and it’s sooo comfy and the pull out sofa bed bit is perfect for movie nights. It has removable, washable covers and you can get them in different colours. You can get it in non-corner designs as well. Think ours was around the same£l £800-900 mark but obviously that’s for a big corner one so smaller designs will be cheaper. They have other sofas as well and I’m pretty sure a lot of them have washable covers.

Haha I've been trawling ideas website just wanted to see if there's any gems I might be missing!

That's really nice to know you've had good experiences with your sofa as I've had hit and miss experiences with ikea sofas albeit in a work setting where they've been getting a tougher run!

Think my eyes are just watering with the cost of getting everything I need and getting moved in so want to be sure I'm getting value for money.

Sofa Sofa is a British company. Excellent service and a range of removable cover sofas. Our sofa bed ia still going strong 15 yrs later albeit with replacment covers and seat cushions. We also have two 3 seater sofas from them

IKEA Ektorp in cream with a spare set of covers. We have this. It’s not a particularly large sofa but is really comfortable and you can buy a matching foot stool. I have two small children and a cat - we wash our covers about once a month and the peace of mind from not having to worry about spills is immense! One day I’ll upgrade but not yet. It’s a really practical sofa for family life. You can get bespoke removable covers made by other companies too.
