What makes a happy home?

Not people related, I am talking about “vibes” rather than relationships.
For me it is:

• a speaks of the people who live there (their taste, interests etc)
• colorful
• a lived-in kitchen
• pets
• books, plants, nice artwork
• lots of cushions and pretty fabrics. Rugs.
• objects picked up from travels

I really dislike family photos so we have none!! And wedding photos are even worse. My poor partner actually likes them but I hide them all.

Pets definitely, a cosy log burner, rugs, throws and cushions but no clutter. Soft lighting, not ceiling lights, and interesting decorative items and pictures.

Yes, agree on the lighting, definitely warm lamps, I hate overhead lights!

A happy cat, photos of family & friends, full bookcases, comfy cushions & throws.
