Paint ideas - navy blue sofa

We have navy blue velvet sofas like this. After a building disaster we need to paint our walls. I want something light. Any suggestions? Oak effect laminate and we'll be getting new curtains too.
Im not good at colours.

We have a navy sofa in our north facing conservatory and we used Farrow and Ball Dimity. It’s a warm neutral that works well with navy. We have cream blinds and floor is mix of warm oak and stone.

I have navy velvet sofas and my walls are the colour in your photo- a warm non yellow white. I used Dulux almond white .

One of those F&B plastery pinks would be lovely with navy, if you don’t want a neutral.

I've lived with plastered, unpainted walls for years (long story) and those colours (and names) are triggering. 🤣

Same colour as our sofa, in our old house we used dulux polished pebble which went nicely, this time I’m going for Portland stone by little greene. You want a contrast really I think
