Faux Fireplace Mantel Surround

I'm looking to replace the fireplace surround. Does anyone know where I can purchase one? The chimney is closed; I just need a fireplace surround to help decorate the room (reference picture). I'm not looking for anything too modern, and my maximum budget, including installation, is 1k.

I'm renovating my bathroom and finding it hard to make a decision on the tile design. Any recommendation from where to buy tiles that's not too expensive?

B&Q is the simple answer. Or type fireplace surround into Google and see what comes up.

If youre not going to use the fireplace I'd look at doing something different.

@MeMyselfLeo we had a similar situation with an almost identical 1970s fireplace to yours when we bought our cottage last year. It's a Georgian property so we wanted something more appropriate to the period and style.

I found a pair of reclaimed fireplace surrounds on eBay for £20 each! We fitted one in place of the hideous monstrosity (did it ourselves so no labour costs) and have put the other in our new snug. Sanded back and repainted they look like they were always there.

So, if you're not averse to something actually old, eBay (and marketplace etc) might be worth a look.

We have done this twice, once with FB marketplace £20 option and the second was an B&Q cheapo. They look great, simple to fit to the wall and easy to paint. All in it was under £200 each time.

Depending on the age of your house what about a reclamation yard / online salvage place?

I'm really glad I asked here. Most of the options I found before were costing 1k or more. I'm going to look ebay, market place etc.Thank you

I didn't even know about it, thank you. Let me check. Mine is a 1930s house
