What colour scheme/curtains with this mat?

We’re getting this Totter and Tumble baby play mat for the living room for our new home. House is a blank slate, all white walls, and we need to choose curtains - what colour should we go for?

Sofa is a yellow/cream. Furniture is pale oak. I’m not sure how to bring it all together. Maybe we need a different colour playmat but we’re not keen on the other patterns.

Yellow cream curtains would match sofa and go well with rug. Then cushions to match the reds and blues in the rug- homesense is great for colour matching cushions.

It would be too much to get Morris and Co Acorn for both curtains and the playmat right? 🙈 I really like the pattern in gold or ivory but I guess if we get it for one then the other has to be plain? The mat has to be quite big and the living room is not that huge.

This is another option for a playmat - it’s a bit grey but it’s the most neutral I can see. I like
the idea of jacquard Morris and Co curtains but worried it will be too much with a patterned floor too.

Is homesense the website?

Sorry i should've checked your location first but it's a shop in England (and I think Britain). It's like TKMaxx for homeware. Their shops are all over the place, not sure they have a website but TKMaxx does, so you might find some bits on there too!

I love the Morris curtains, but agree it could be a bit too much pattern. I think if you go with the curtains and rug in the Morris prints, you'd have to be very neutral with cushions and decor. What about a morris blind, with neutral curtains? You'd get a peak of pattern at the window at least
