Could you take a photograph of the wall and take it to a place where they mix your paint? B&Q used to do it - not sure if they still do

Can you even remember what brand you would typically go for? Dulux? Valspar? Farrow and Ball? Was it an off the shelf paint or a mixed paint? If it was mixed at B&Q it will be Valspar paint and it is usually saved in their system under your name.

If it is an off the shelf one then it is much easier to narrow down. If you posted a photo of your hall paint I am sure we can suggest what it might be.

B&Q can scan a cushion or whatever for colour matching but it would be hard to do from a photo.

Is there any way you could get a small.ssctiom.of paint from the wall and take it to a DIY stor for colour matching? The problem woth a photo is that so many colours look very different in different lights.

However... not sure how good this is, but this Dulux app might provide a start: www.dulux.co.uk/en/articles/dulux-visualizer-app#:~:text=Dulux%20Visualizer%20App%20%E2%80%93%20Colour%20Match,iOS%20Try%20now%20on%20Android

dulux has a decent app but if the original paint wasn’t from Dulux you will never get a perfect match.
