Wooden bed inspiration

I’m hoping to get some more ideas/ companies to look at. And thoughts on the beds I’m considering.

Looking for a new bed, moving from a standard double (which I know shocks some people on here) to a king size. Reason is the teenager is moving out so we will have 2 dogs on the bed rather than 1 and it is getting squished.

I want a solid wood bed with a comfortable to read in bed headboard, no footboard, and under bed storage (not lift the whole bed up style).

These are the top two contenders at the moment:
Get laid beds in ash with 2 3/4 boxes underneath.

John Lewis bed - the headboard might be too high (we have a large picture above the bed) and it does mention the dreaded word - veneer!

I absolutely love this bed but no storage so is probably out. And costs a fair bit more as well, but I can dream.

Bumping hoping someone has some good wooden bed recommendations.

I've just bought this one, arrived and put together and been sleeping on it for a week or so. It's cheap and cheerful and I'm delighted with it. I know you said no footboard but I bought the mattress separately and despite that also being cheap the footboard is lower than the mattress top, I don't really like footboards. I'm not sure the headboard is what you want but I slather my bed in pillows and cushions for reading and it's fine IMHO. Best thing is the storage - 6 drawers and no gaps for dust!
