Looking for Window decoration Christmas Ideas

Every year since my two kids were little we have decorated our front windows with lovely kiddy type displays. However they are grown adults now so I am looking for ideas on some simple classy display. I love our front wonder to look bright and jolly but want just something simple that still looks great.

Any ideas please.🌲🎄🤶

Oh and when I say a window display that could be just one lovely bright decoration something that lights up.
What do you have in your window?

How about those lights designed specifically for windows - multiple strings hanging down with stars or snowflakes.

We have sash windows and so I can position things on the middle divider. Usually some large metal stars or something similar. I have used large baubles in the past too. We have shutters at some windows so use those to hang a range of decorations or foliage from. Pinterest has some good inspiration.

Our house always has a traditional Christmas theme so:
Softly lit pine and fruit garlands with/without traditional lanterns or candles dotted along
Giant nutcrackers
For the picture windows - lit Christmas trees (with/without decorations)

Last year I traced some scandi-style decorative designs and foliage on the windows with a chalk pen. It was fun to do and looked pretty. I also attached some baubles on the lower sash rail. This year i am going to add a row of mini string lights.

Previous years we have done those rows of Dutch houses or even a little snowy town scene. I have no drawing skills so just trace, but i think you can buy stick on designs too.
