Venetian blinds

Any advice on venentain blinds, thinking of changing my okd vertical blinds to the wood effect venentain blinds are the quite strong? I have a 5 year okd who likes to look out the window so need something thats not to flimsy. Want the ones without the tape as Ive heard the tape gets dirslty so dont want that. Anyone regretting getting them? i know there hard to clean, the ones I have now I dont have to do anything with.

I have white wood effect (quite heavy) ones in kitchen and bathroom, they’re great and versatile but they do get dusty and the kitchen one gets splashed, I’ve got a tool like this to clean them, it doesn’t take long. I like that at night time the window is totally white and makes everything look brighter .
