What do you think? Is it too much?

We have this colour on the wall in our spare room, i think it’s lovely! We do only have it on one feature wall though and the rest are white. Go for it!

cbbo · 11/10/2025 21:42

It’s horrible

PashaMinaMio · 11/10/2025 21:44

Yes! It’s too much. Think again, paler maybe? 🤔

DappledThings · 11/10/2025 21:46

Very nice. I love a proper colour on walls, especially a bedroom. Can't stand depressing neutrals.

AlloftheTime · 11/10/2025 21:47

Fab!
go for it.

DoodleLug · 11/10/2025 21:48

I think that could be nice on a feature wall but you'll need to accessorise carefully.

WaffleParty · 11/10/2025 21:50

It’s a bit much. Maybe it would better with some pictures in the wall.

ShrubRose · 11/10/2025 21:52

I would say it's a nice colour for an accessory or a trim or a main colour in a print, but I think you would get soon get tired of that much of it on the walls.

Whereismyfleeceblanket · 11/10/2025 21:52

Go for it.

iziwizi · 11/10/2025 21:56

Go for it in matt and scrubbable.

TheCurious0range · 11/10/2025 21:57

I painted my bedroom a similar colour to this when I was a young teen, my dad said it was like standing inside a ribena berry (teen me rolled her eyes and asked if he meant a blackcurrant 😁).
If you like colour go for it. I have lots of colours in my house

DrCoconut · 11/10/2025 21:57

I love colour and my bedroom at my old house was a similar colour. Go for it. I'm doing mine orange soon.

user2848502016 · 11/10/2025 22:00

It a lovely colour but too much for a whole room I think. I would do one feature wall and the rest a paler colour.

Noppert180 · 11/10/2025 22:00

Thanks everyone. This is the colour I am going over - do you think it’s at all an improvement lol

It’s better than what you’re covering over but I don’t like it. I think it might be okay on one wall but it’s too much on all walls and IMO a miserable looking colour.

dancingbymyself · 11/10/2025 22:11

It’s quite 90s Grin

Noppert180 · 11/10/2025 22:19

@dancingbymyself it is giving me Monica and Rachel from friends apartment vibes haha

Why not, if you like it? It's a nice colour. A lot of rooms and items for the home you see now seem to be so pale and wishy washy, off white, beige, greige, and grey, grey, grey.

Be nice to have a bit of intense colour for a change! . And a bedroom is probably a safer place than the living room to experiment with colour. If you find it a bit much when you've done it you can always tone it down in other areas, eg white bedding and curtains , white/natural furniture.

Doggymummar · 15/10/2025 17:48

The walls look in bad condition, with good prep it will look much better

SwedishEdith · 15/10/2025 17:51

What's the name of the actual colour? My instinct is that I don't like it and it's feels oppressive but that might be the photo.

Was going to say the same!

My bedroom is that colour - I love it. Depending on the light, it changes colour. I have a wall of wardrobes and a huge window so it’s not overpowering. It’s very cosy at night.
