Help! What’s the perfect neutral wardrobe door colour?

We’re about to replace our very old wardrobes with new (fitted) ones but I can’t decide what colour to go for that won’t look dated too quickly. It’s a north-facing room so we want something pale coloured but not keen on white as we have a lot of that elsewhere in the house. Will pale grey or beige/greige stand the test of time? I’m completely rubbish at interior design. Confused

I've got fitted wardrobes in a north-facing bedroom that are painted in f&b slipper satin. It's a lovely warm, very light, greige.

With a North facing room I would go with something with a warm undertone. What colour are the walls?

Thanks for your replies! Walls at the moment are Dulux Almost Oyster, which is lovely, but we will decorate after new wardrobes are in so can change to something that complements them.

Funnily enough, we are looking at having fitted wardrobes put in. A bloke came round this morning to measure up and take down requirements and we visited their “showroom” (think tiny two up two down terraced house in town) and they do a lot in a colour called cashmere. This is one of the photos from their website although it looks a bit darker here.

Ooh that’s not worked, let me try again.

Try this

I have a kitchen in Cashmere. And of course I love it! Neutral but warm.

I need inspo for my own North facing bedroom wardrobes too, they are pure white now with pale green walls. Was initially thinking of cashmere again, but there might be more ideas to come here! I think I'll paint what's there as the wardrobes are quite sound and it's a spare room anyway.

Ooh the cashmere is really nice! Will definitely add that to my list of contenders. Keen to pick something that will have lasting appeal.
