Repairing wallpaper after a rewire - am I asking the impossible?

We’ve just bought a new house which needed a full rewire - it’s wallpapered with some amazing Sanderson floral paper which is now discontinued… the hall is covered in strips of plaster following the chasing bit of the rewire, and the wallpaper is super damaged/removed in stripes.

I’d absolutely love to save it if possible…. But I think I might be madly optimistic. Has anyone ever managed to salvage this without a full redecoration? If so, does anyone know where I could buy a roll of discontinued Sanderson rose and peony in a red colour way?

All suggestions appreciated massively!

You could try adding some thin wooden pieces over damaged parts to make a panelled effect. Might need to also add to none damaged places to create a good look.

This. I wouldn't even do wood beams though, I would just paint maybe white or gold strips in the damaged areas x

I also came on to say you will find it on eBay. I had to do the same and it was well worth it.

I absolutely adore this pattern!

you will also find - with lots of patience material, curtains etc on eBay/Vinted - you could make matching cushions? 😀

Sanderson also made a wax shopping bag in this pattern! I was lucky to find at a charity shop!

OP please come back and let us know what happens!

Amazing! Annoying that one is sold but good to know it might actually exist somewhere in the ether…
