Good place to look for lighting?

Need new kitchen/dining lights. Nothing fancy. A length of track lighting for cooking area. A shade for a central pendant light over dining table. Ideally sourced from a chain so I can actually go to showroom and look at stuff. I live in major provincial city. Any thoughts?

Let your fingers do the walking, dig out your yellow pages and search out your local independent lighting showroom.The difference compared to the big high-street chains is night and day. Independent showrooms actually know their products instead of just pointing you to a shelf. You can see and feel the quality for yourself, plus, you’re supporting local jobs, real expertise, and businesses that genuinely care about their customers. Or go to The Range.😊

As much as love to flick through a yellow pages they are simply no longer available and were discontinued from our doorsteps many years ago now. Only thing I can wholeheartedly agree with is that you seek out the trusty little independent shops. They’ll give you advice and services that you won’t find anywhere else.

Dunelm and Next seem to have good variety on their websites. What's available in store will depend (eg if big or small stores etc).

Pooky is great for ideas, even if you don’t buy from there. It is online, which I appreciate isn’t what you asked for, but we’ve bought stuff from there without having seen it in person and it’s been good quality.
