Thoughts please. Please you paint these bricks?

I’ve resisted the urge to paint these header bricks over the patio doors into my conservatory for years as I thought if it was a mistake or looked wrong, it would be a pain to undo.

However, I’m wondering whether because the roof partially covers the left hand side and therefore not symmetrical, it might look better to just emulsion them the same as the walls so they visually recede.

Thoughts please.

Many thanks!

You are right that the lack of symmetry makes the painting idea a good one. Go for it.

Are they the only bricks in the conservatory? I would probably paint them - it would blend in better with the rest of the wall.

Yes they are. All the base walls are Jasmine White as well as the house wall in the photo.

In that case then definitely paint them. It looks like a lovely room.

I’d go one further and get them plastered and then paint. They are an eyesore.

Paint them

I wouldn’t think twice - paint them.

Paint them and get some new wall art.

Currently they stand out for all the wrong reasons.

Good idea - I hadn’t considered having them plastered. That would give a much better finish. Thanks!
