Trendy Trundle bed for 12 year old?

My 12 year old has a double bed which she would like to swap with a single bed since her room is small and she prefers more space. Typically, she has a friend sleep over once a month or so.

Can someone recommend a comfortable bed with a backrest (along the long edge) which also has a trundle to use occasionally? She prefers upholstered, not wooden. Or any other ideas to serve this purpose (sloping ceiling so don't want a bunk bed).

Thanks.

IKEA do a good one which also has drawers under the trundle bed - however it is wooden…

We have it and I have slept on it - it is very comfortable, no experience of others

Yep, as already mentioned, it fails the upholstered requirement, but Hermes Day Bed from IKEA

Was also going to suggest Ilea Hemnes. It folds out to a Kingsize, though.

Whatever you do, don't go for the wooden trundle bed from the Cotswold Company! One of our worst purchases ever: it's only 5 years old, we're constantly having to tighten the screws on the frame and the springs are starting to poke through the mattress. Twice as expensive as IKEA - we really regret our purchase! We're going back to IKEA...

I had a Hemnes for ages but I wouldn't rate it for regular sleeping. Not to mention the wooden surrounds which anyone marginally tall used to keep knocking into. Need something different this time and preferably upholstered.
