Ikea sofa covers - hard wearing options

Have a Soderhamn (L shape), pretty worn out. Bought Bemz washable covers a few years back and have washed a fair bit but they just dont look good anymore.

Any experiences with good hard wearing covers? One of our DCs has SEN and unfortunately toileting accidents are reasonably common as is food, spillages, etc.. Looking on Ikea itself there's a 'Viarp brown / beige' fabric which looks like it might be more forgiving / better quality than their others. I'm thinking a thickish almost tweed-y type fabric could be good.

I'd rather not buy a new sofa but want to give this one a new lease of life without spending new-sofa-amounts...

Thank you!

We have the same sofa and bought it with the viarp beige covers, most expensive, thick and robust.. AWFUL. the material clicks and pulls, its not very soft, and it takes ages to dry.
we lived with it for a year and then decided it was just no good. we bought the tonerud grey covers instead and they are so much better. they are softer, wipe clean with baby wipes most of the time.. no messy clicks and pulls. 2 months in and we are really happy with the covers. and they arent expensive compared to the viarp

i strongly recommend if you can visiting a store and touching the finishes.

we have 3 kids and 2 dogs for reference.

Thank you! Really helpful to hear about the Viarp experience. In the end I chose one of the 'Madrid' fabrics from Dekoria - looks hard wearing and good reviews.
