Lighten dark oak doors?

Hi,
I bought oak doors and thought they were the right colour but unfortunately they are a bit darker than they looked in the pictures. I want to lighten them up a bit to make them a little bit lighter.
Can anyone advise what the best option would be? Would sanding them down with a electric sander be any good to make them lighter?

Depends how they’ve been treated. A stain will be harder to remove than just a varnish.

how many do you have? Would you consider having them dip stripped or would that be overkill?

I've got 3 doors. They are dark oak in colour. I want to change them to light oak. What is dip stripping please? I've never heard of it? Is it cheap to have done?
