Large cereal bowls and deep dinner plates

We have a set of crockery from BHS that’s over 20 years old. The glaze is patchy and it’s all chipped and we really need to replace it. The trouble is we can’t find a replacement with big enough cereal bowls or deep enough dinner plates. It’s not that we like to pile tons of food into them, but we eat on the sofa a lot and the lip on the plate is especially useful for keeping stuff where it should be.

I’ve seen some crockery sets that have ramen bowls as an add on, which would be fine if only the plates were deep enough. I’ve seen a lot of the sets with vertical lips on the plates and bowls but I’m not keen on them.

Does anyone have any recommendations please? Otherwise it’s another year of chipped, screechy plates.

Look at Denby. I use their pasta bowls as my main dishes.
