Going to redo DD7's bedroom soon and looking to purchase a new wardrobe and chest of drawers. Just wondering what others use for storage in their children's bedroom, other than a bed, what furniture do your DDs of 7 years and older have in their rooms?

Wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table, laundry basket and desk

Also interested to know if anyone has IKEA PAX or PLATSA furniture in their kid's rooms?

Ours both have pax wardrobes and malm ottoman beds

DD9 has:

Bed (IKEA Malm).

Bedside table (IKEA Malm).

Chest of drawers (IKEA Malm).

For toys and books she has a row of three IKEA Kallax shelves (the quad ones) the bottom row has boxes in for toys, the top row has books in.

For all the little bits and bobs she accumulates, she had a tall rainbow set of drawers, like this.

She also has a slim set of shelves for smaller books and bits and bobs, and a MASSIVE crate of soft toys.

She uses the wardrobe in my study for her school uniform and other clothes that hang, and we've agreed she needs to clear one of the Kallax quads to make space for a desk (at the moment she does her homework on the kitchen or dining table).
