What colour for door and garage?

New build time - and keen to change the white the house comes with.
The stone is a really warm colour, so wondering what sort of colour door & garage would go with this. At present all I can see is a Cotswold / light green, I definitely do not want anything too insipid, or grey, and like a brighter colour if I could...
(Not my house - but identical. All the neighbours are the same palette of stone, render and grey roofs, front of my house faces North West.)

I’m always a fan of a bright red front door. In fact, I once bought a house because I liked the red front door!

Are you allowed to change the colour?
I moved in to a small close of about 15 houses and all had white garages and wooden doors - although the actual design of houses were all different. There was a clause to say the front and garage doors were to remain the same colours for 20 years (from date of build / first occupancy)

Anyway, presuming you can , how about a slightly darker sage green?

Yes, I can change colour of door and garage - I can see a few have done it already, but they are all either black, grey or dark grey!

Boathouse blue by Dulux is a cheery blue colour that might work. We have it for our front and barn door and it always lifts the spirits

I've been looking at paint for indoors and saw this company that advise shades by the way the room faces. Maybe one of these would be good for your door? Or at least a steer on what sort of tone works well with north/west daylight. The north one has some nice greens!
