Please tell me what it is!

I notice there's been a move away from the green doors and windows to gorgeous creamy shades. Can anyone share your cream colours with me please?

Did you mean to link or attach something?

Handeyethingyowl · 07/09/2025 23:09

Intrigued.

Sorry, computer crashed!

This is the thing - I just can't find pics/info online, but they're everywhere around me. I've attached a couple from a quick search.

Looks like frenchic cool beans

They look like pvc double glazed windows that happen to be a cream shade which is nicer than the white they usually are

The thought of having to keep up with neighbourhood exterior paint fashions fills me with a cold, leaden fear!

Anyway, it looks like a fairly standard pale cream along the lines of Almond White (Dulux) or Clotted Cream (Rust-Oleum) but, since it's the Cotswolds, it'll be F&B, won't it. Have a look at Tallow, New White and White Tie.

Our last house was an old stone mill (in SW Wales), we wanted something different colour-wise from Farrow & Ball Green Smoke which we'd used to paint our previous two houses, and fancied a more neutral tone. We chose Little Greene Silt, which - when we obtained a sample pot - was considerably lighter than it appears on the colour swatches/charts. Probably too dark for you @JockintheWolds but a lovely colour for joinery on an old stone building imo.

Here's some pics of our previous house painted in LG silt.....

Edited

That’s a beautiful colour, but yes, darker than I’m after.

Just knock on the door and ask? 😁

Are they timber? Are they brand new windows or just repainted?

JockintheWolds · 11/09/2025 21:06

I’d say mostly old, wooden windows re-painted, but even new build houses are using the colour, which I’d assume are pvc.

i will eventually knock on my favourite and ask- just thought I’d try here first in case it was a week-known shade.

My first thought was F&B White Tie.
