Hi all, does anyone know if Crown Antique Cream & Johnstone's Antique Cream are the same, as in the colour.

No, they're not the same.

Paint colour names are just that - they're a name, not a specific, particular colour.

The Johnstone's website says Antique Cream has a "pinky" undertone, although it doesn't look like that on my screen. The Crown website says Antique Cream has some grey in it.

Hi ShrubRose

Thank you for your reply. I did manage to get a tester pot of the Johnstone's Antique Cream today, I didn't see any pinky undertones to it. In fact I think it's too yellow for what I'm looking for. I'm looking for something similar to in the photo attached. I love all the different shades of beige and cream.

Yes, I thought it was strange that they said Antique Cream had a pinky undertone.
Your sample actually varies in colour across the image. To match the left side, which is much lighter, you might look at Crown Pure Brilliant White. Or, for a slightly deeper shade you could look at Little Greene Off-White, Shirting or maybe Flint.

@ShrubRose

Thank you again for your reply.
I was looking at Crown beige white, there is also a Crown canvas white. I don't want a brilliant white as I have that on my ceilings & woodwork.
At the moment I have magnolia but mixed it with white.
Oh decisions decisions, I hate making them! LOL

Try Johnstone’s mix of Farrow & Ball ‘Pointing’ it’s a fabulous off white, very pale cream, I have loved it in every home I’ve lived in.

@Lolopolo
I am so sorry I have only just seen your reply.

It does look a lovely colour thank you.

I did wonder about adding some white to Dulux Egyptian Cotton too.
