It’s not going to be used for a little kid. It’ll be a guest room and I want to give it a french look I think? Help!

I might take out the chest of drawers and swap for a tiny bedside table. I got one from amazon with a drawer that's about 20cm wide.
And I would maybe keep the windowledge clear so it looked a bit less cluttered.
Colour blocks like plain navy curtains and linens?

If it’s a guest room it doesn’t need all that storage. I’d take out the built in cupboards and move the bed to that wall. In that way, the guest has more headroom, and also it’s much nicer if there’s space in front of a window; it makes a room feel more open. Have a cosy armchair there instead. Grown up bed linen; an elegant rug; something luxurious on a bedside table …

Yes I was thinking that bedside table needs to go myself it’s too much.
what about the cupboards ? I know they’re ugly so I was going to paint them and change the knobs. Any ideas what colours ? I did want to do shutters of some kind but eventually this room will become a bathroom so don’t want to spend loads. I just need it nice for now

Sorry I should have mentioned we will need to use those cupboards as our wardrobes for the foreseeable!

I would just change the bed linen and curtains!

Paint wardrobes an off white. Put on some nice cupboard handles. Take out chest of drawers & put in small bedside table. Change bed linen & curtain for something neutral (or just shove a throw over current set!). Simples😁

Agree white for the wardrobes - will make it look more spacious, as would a large mirror.
