I don’t like a lot of clutter/ornaments etc but would like some more finishing touches in various rooms.
In our lounge and dining room for example we have lamps for mood lighting; cushions (on sofat&chairs); candles; plants; candles; pictures on each wall, a couple of family photos in frames, and a couple of wooden/pottery decorative pieces.
Dark wood furniture in the dining room; lighter wood in the lounge. Traditional rather than modern decor.
Also various surfaces in hall, landing, kitchen and bedrooms which would benefit from being a bit more interesting.
Style is more simple and natural than fancy/lacey.
Don’t need too much more; I expect it’s as much about how to arrange than adding in too much extra, but I would be interested in ideas, either for specific types of items or pointers to websites/instagrammers that seem appropriate for the style I’ve described. I know there are lots of ideas on Pinterest too but unless you know exactly what you are searching on you can soend ages looking at ideas which aren’t your style.
Any ideas/pointers welcome, thank you

All the things you mention sound good in themselves but it's difficult to say anything more without seeing a pic. What sort of cushions do you have, for example? I have lots of kilim cushions in lovely colours so would recommend these but you might already have this sort of thing. I'm also a plant lover and seek out pots which I really like.

I was actually thinking that given I don’t want lots of stuff around, upgrading things we already have might be a good idea. Cushions and plant pots are a good place to start, thank you. I do like the look of kilim cushions, thanks for the pointer.
