Striped duvet covers - help to find a nice one

Hello,

I’ve found a lovely striped duvet cover from Piglet in Bed that is out of my budget and not even in stock! Has anyone bought bedding from them before? Are they worth the money?

I usually stick to plain white duvets covers and my bedroom has white walls as I’ve had no clue what colours to decorate since moving in 2 years ago. For some reason I really like the style and colours of this duvet cover and wondered if anyone else has seen nice colourful pinstripe duvet covers that will cost less than £100 please? It doesn’t necessarily need to be similar colours but something that may add some colour to my room.

thanks

I bought a Piglet in bed duvet cover in the sale. The quality is exceptional but agree they’re quite pricey. I’m currently saving up for a second one as now nothing else quite matches up unfortunately!!

Try La Redoute and Dunelm

I’ve just bought some of these Christy duvet covers from TK Maxx and absolutely love them bargain and really soft cotton, a few different colours

Ikea usually have at least one striped one in stock. Their 100% cotton ones are excellent as well.

I ordered that very same one you picked out but returned it as it was too much like red sandstone and didn’t quite work.
i ended up buying a flat sheet in the blue Pembroke colour way.

100% polyester!

No they are 100% cotton that is a typo in the listing

I love stripey bedding

Ikea have 100% cotton narrow striped sets in sage green, dusky pink and Smokey blue.

I get them for the DC who seem to need them replacing with alarming frequency due to ink/nail varnish/tan/blood etc.

I also have dds like this. Off topic but have you tried stain remover? I swear by Dr Beckmans, they have a stain remover for everything. I bought a kit with 3 or 4 different little bottles a few years ago and they last for ages.

Thanks very much for all your suggestions. I will have a look now and hope the Piglet in Bed one will stop stalking me on social media.

Did you buy it and how did it go? X

Justgetupandgetmoving · 24/08/2025 18:29

Hello,

I went for this one on Very as I had a big bill come in.
I put it in the wash straight from packaging and made my bed late at night. It wasn’t until the next morning I noticed what looks like washed out black marker pen with letters and numbers on it. I will put a photo up on another post but it’s not so easy to see the marks in the photo. .

I can’t really return it now it’s been washed and packaging taken away! Annoying!

There were some great suggestions on this thread which I will keep when I’m buying again!

This is the writing on the duvet. Really strange as the package was sealed.

@Justgetupandgetmoving that looks good I’ve been really pleased with mine

bungobungobungo · 24/08/2025 18:57

I would still return it as faulty. Doesn’t matter that you’ve washed it.

Definitely return it! That’s obviously a mark from the manufacturing process.

TheOliveFinch · 24/08/2025 19:05

I missed the fact that those marks were actually on the fabric , you should be able to return it
