Hello everyone we have been quoted by our builders £4,699 plus VAT to cover 45 square metres in our kitchen diner and new extension. Seems OTT to me but I havent a clue. Any advice on what others have paid would be gratefully received. Thanks in advance.

Is it electric or wet? If it is electric then it will be expensive to run.

Sounds expensive for installation but that depends in what they are doing. Are they going to dig up and relay a floor? Do they need to insulate the floor?

Hi there its water based underfloor heating. they need to lay a new floor in the new extension and level off the other floor not sure about insulation

Sounds about right but
does check if fitting is included. Labour costs are eye watering these days. I got a quote for materials only that is 1.5x that amount for double the area.

Thanks for your reply yes its fitting as well so sounds about right as you said 👍
