Blinds for light

I currently have narrow slatted Venetian blinds on a large kitchen window (180 x 120cm) but they don't let in as much light as I would like. As I'm considering changing them could someone please advise whether large slatted Venetian blinds let in more light or not?

Vertical blinds are not being considered because I have a cat and previously having vertical blinds and cats their fur gets stuck to them and they break the beaded bits at the bottom walking in and out like they are weave poles on dog agility competitions.

A roller blind is not practical and shutters would be out of my budget. TIA

Yes, they do as the space between them when open is wider. Do you need them for privacy?

@Boxfreshrussell thank you, yes I do. I'm not that bothered that people can see me cooking at the other end of the kitchen but my table and chairs are by the window and it would be like feeding time at the zoo for people walking past 😂

🤣 having looked at every possible scenario recently, I think your idea of wider slats is the best option.
