Attaching a map which I’ve drawn myself so it’s not perfect but roughly to scale. Numbers marked are centimetres.
We have a lovely big room but it needs to fit a lot and I’m looking for inspiration as to how to lay things out. We are two people living here but regularly have two more in.
We need an L-shape sofa big enough to fit four for socialising (ie, to chat, not all sitting in a row), or a sofa for two plus two more separate chairs.
Dining table to seat four, which will double-up as a desk for me WFH.
Plenty of book shelves/shelves for ornaments/photo frames.
TV.
Cupboard storage for sewing machine and various other related stuff, which I will also use dining table for (side hustle).
Three fairly large standing plant pots which stand on the floor (too tall to be up on a shelf).
The sliding door into the kitchen slides on the kitchen side and is usually kept open. The door into the room from the hall, and the door which leads outside both open into the living room and can’t be changed so I’ve marked on the space they take up.
