Rug for under dining table

We are moving house soon and our house will have a carpet in the dining room until we can afford to change to hard floors. The carpet is the type of rustic weave that has tiny gaps rather than being compact and I can already see it will be a nightmare with two young children who will inevitably drop food.

Please can anyone recommend a brand/specific rug they have under their table that is either slightly wipe able or machine washable? We have Totter and Tumble mats already but because they are spongy texture i don't want to ruin them putting the table on it as I presume it will dent where the legs are.

Ruggable are meant to be good and Dunelm do washable rugs too.

I also vouch for Ruggable. I have one in my kitchen and very easy to wash. A darker colour would work well under the dining table!
