Curtains instead of wardrobe doors

I need to do up a bedroom without spending too much.
it’s my adult dd’s room but she has moved away but visits often.
We are going to turn it into more of a neutral guest room.
One wall has two built in wardrobes that used to have sliding doors that broke s long time ago and were replaced with curtains.
This was fine for a teenage bedroom but now I would like it to look slightly more formal.
So .. do you think the wardrobe curtains should match the window curtains!
The windows are a bay which are currently covered with some cheap grey curtains so they might need upgrading too.
Going to paint the walls so not tied to any colours.

I did this when we only had clothing rails. We used floor to ceiling nets from IKEA, I really liked it and most viewers liked it too (good use of space).

@DisforDarkChocolateThanks. Do you mean like a voile? That would probably work.

I've done this in the past too and I used a voile. I wouldn't match the curtains to the window curtains, I'd match the wall colour or use white so they don't catch attention.

Definitely don't match the two sets of curtains. I think I might use linen panels for the wardrobes, either white/natural or a colour which could be picked up in patterned curtains.

Thanks. I will have a look at Ikea for something along these lines.
