Stacking Malm drawers? Madness?

Has anyone stacked two of the three drawers (80cm I think they are )? We got two which fit perfectly side by side but there's not enough storage so contemplating two stacked and one single. We'd attach to the wall but will it look clunky ?
We'd had old pine stuff before that DH hated and bossed me into getting rid but it held so much !! Mustn't mourn it, it's been renovated by friend so it's gone to a good home (gulp 😢)
Anyway- back to the ikea. Will it work ?!

On top of each other? Yes it will look clunky and how will you be able to see/reach inside the top ones?

What about using ikea pax instead for the top bit

My Dad is currently storing two of the four drawer Malms for me. He had them stacked for a while and they looked fine. It does depend quite a bit on the space and room, but it worked fine for him.

They are pretty low so won't be taller than me when stacked. Well, the top will be more or less my head height but DJ who's much taller will use these. When you say use Pax so you mean instead of drawers? Could do this yes as the Malm stuff sells well even if used and these are 2 years old

Not with malm but I’ve done it with other ikea drawers and even have shelves on top. Looks fine. Not clunky.

It works well. You don't even need a wooden base in between as they don't sink into each other
