Our house has people walking by, around three feet from window. This means we must have something up. Currently have Venetian blinds, dust trap. I like the look and reasonable privacy, obviously can’t walk around naked. 🫢

No way am I having nets.

Any recommendations for day to night blinds? On day setting do they block out much light? I don’t want to block light, just people seeing fully in.

Are they easy to clean and long lasting?

Thank you.

I've got some day/night blinds and really pleased with them. Mine are white and don't block out a huge amount of light - the beauty of them is you can adjust where they sit to get the right level of privacy/shade.
My oldest ones are about 2/3 years old and still look great. Got mine from Blinds Direct.

I was thinking about getting wooden shutter type blinds for room at the front of our house. However, I've not ordered them yet as I'm having second thoughts about the cleaning of them. Are they just a complete dust trap? Has anybody got them and finds they are ok or do you really regret getting them?

Our neighbours have had a film fitted to the inside of their windows. From outside looks like you are looking at a mirror, can't see in at all. Slight tinted too to stop sun damage. Not cheap though.

Cheaper if you DIY though. I've done this in my porch which I could've cooked a full roast dinner in last summer. Hoping this summer it will keep it substantially cooler. Was very easy to do.
